WILDERNESS AREA

Terra Selvaggia Project

The unique environmental heterogeneity does not depend on human intervention: the hare, the fox, the beech marten, the fallow deer and the roe deer are at home here!

PROTECTED BIODIVERSITY

Started in 2021 by Giacinto Guglielmi, the project aims to reintroduce natural wetlands to attract and host migratory and nesting species like herons, swans, flamingos and many others. These renovated and protected environments have become a safe haven for wildlife that finds its ideal habitat here.

In 2024, the Reserve was recognised as an Italian Wilderness Area (AIW), a significant achievement that underlines the ecological importance of this land.

Local biodiversity is also protected thanks to good agricultural practices,

100% organic since 2018.

Wilderness Areas are a symbol of a deep connection with nature and of the commitment to its conservation. The presence of large wild spaces, unfortunately increasingly rare, is now an inestimable value to preserve.

The Terra Selvaggia Project (PTS) is not only an ecological initiative, but a real cultural and environmental resource, which aims to restore the Maremma landscape to its biodiversity and authentic charm.
